It was Thursday. I was thinking of where I should go on weekend. I have been wanting to hunt for Momiji for weeks, and last weekend was surely a good time to do it.
My weekend started in the corner of Aoyama Street.
Autumn is one of my favorite seasons in Japan. Looking at the falling leaves could give me a peace of mind.
It was 11 am, half an hour prior to meeting my friends, I decided to walk around a little.
Aoyama Itchome is not a famous place for sightseeing. When I went there the first time, it was because I needed to go to Canadian embassy for visa.
I didn't think much of this place, other than a nice residential area.
Well, it really is a nice residential area.
Danbo seems to agree with my statement here. He likes this place.
Anyway, it was almost time to meet my friends. I immediately rushed to the meeting place.
This was the place. I was rather surprised to see lots of people there.
And this was the reason. In this place, the
Ginkgo tree (銀杏) already turned yellow.
It was an amazing view. The yellow color was everywhere.
The view was just too amazing to describe.
Everyone around me was trying to capture the beauty of it by taking a shot of it. From mobile phone...
pocket camera..
video...
to DSLR.
Of course we also joined the fun.
The man in blue was there to make sure that everything was in order.
Would love to try that restaurant sometimes.
Some of the leaves already turned red. I prefer yellow though.
It was a short walk but it was an amazing experience. The hunting for Momiji still continues. Unfortunately, that would be the story for the next post. See you later !
