Meguro is known as one of the best spots to watch the Sakura, especially the Meguro River. The view of sakura trees lining up on both sides of the river is beautiful. There is also a pedestrian only areas where you can take a very pleasant walk under the sakura trees. A very lovely place. However, there are also a lot of people who avoid this place because it can gets very crowded especially during weekends. Lucky for me, I live very close to the river. I could go there in the morning when there are less people, so I could enjoy the gorgeous view all for myself. And believe me, nothing beats running under the sakura trees in the morning. Happiness.
Sakura and waterway are always a perfect combination.
A cool sunny day. Perfect for a walk. It's a bit too early for a full bloom, but still great.
Sakura came very early this year. Almost half a month earlier than last year. I could imagine lot of tourists might miss the chance to see full bloom Sakura this year.
It usually starts to get crowded around 12. Better come early if you want to avoid the crowd.
The animals also joined the crowd.
There is actually another spot near by which is less crowded, minus the river, but still a lovely spot. Head towards the Fudomae station and you'll see the sakura trees alongside the road.
Gorgeous isn't it ? I purposely take this road every day when I come back from work to enjoy the view.
Enjoying the sakura has always been a very special experience, and this year is no exception. I am saying good bye to winter. Welcome back, spring !
