Doraemon Museum

Japan has so many interesting museums, from Ramen to Gyoza museum, from Parasite to Dinosaur museum, and from Bandai to Ghibli museum. Regardless of your age and interests, you will be able to find some museums that are worth the visit. For Doraemon's fans, the Fujiko F Fujio Museum is definitely a place I would recommend.

The Fujiko F Fujio Museum, also known as Doraemon Museum, was first opened on September 3, 2011. The museum is still new and a bit small, but it has its own charm, especially if you're a big fan of Doraemon.

Izu Teddy Bear Museum

Izu Teddy Bear Museum was the best Teddy Bear Museum I've ever been so far. There were lots of teddy bears of all sizes on display from all around the world. There was also 'Teddy Girl', a 1904 cinnamon Steiff bear which sold over £110,000 ( around 14.5 million yen ) at an auction in London. The museum was designed with old English style. There were store, garden, cute cafe, and a special exhibition floor. Very impressive.

Chiba Floral Museum

Chiba City is also known as the City of Flowers. The city holds flowers festival and gardening contest every year. There are lots of flower related places around Chiba, one of them is the Chiba Floral Museum ( 花の美術館 ). I visited the museum just before I moved to Tokyo from Chiba.

Japanese Overseas Migration Museum

For people who has interest on learning the stories of Japanese immigrants, The Japanese Overseas Migration Museum is the right museum for you. Located in the port city of Yokohama, this museum presents the stories of the Japanese people who emigrated to the New World in the late 19th and 20th centuries and their descendants. Run by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and opened in 2002, the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum receives 30,000 visitors per year.
